HyperCloud appliances

Appliances in HyperCloud are fixed-function images pre-configured to enhance your HyperCloud experience.

These appliances can be found in the Community Marketplace. To begin, please enable the Community Marketplace endpoint, then you will see these appliances apps alongside other community images. To use them, first import the required apps into your cluster's datastore. Once the apps are imported you will see a new VM template appear.

The appliance can now be deployed. Configuration of the appliance is input via the Custom Attributes section in the HyperCloud Dashboard UI. These custom attributes are passed to the appliance when it boots, and allows for you to configure appliances to match your specific requirements. Configuration attributes extend the instance configuration to include application-specific items.

After startup the appliance will now be automatically configured based on your custom attributes.
