Expunging a hot patch

Expunging a hot patch causes it to be removed from the database and no longer be applied. It will not cause any sort of hot patch removal from systems where it has already been applied. However, most well-designed hot patches will be reversed when the system they have been applied to gets rebooted.

  1. Login to the active storage floating node (hypercloud-storage).
  2. Expunge the hot patch with hotpatch-expunge, example: 
    # hotpatch-expunge fix-race-id-3a984af01a
